Holidays!

Hello everyone!

It's been a really long time since I posted anything...I guess I've just been busy with school work and chores.
But now that the holidays are finally upon us I can relax a little bit...

Mountains of Snow!

Yes, that's right, SNOW, and lots of it! I don't know whether or not to be happy about it or freaked out, as this is more snow than I've seen in my entire life.

Right now it's too cold outside, so I think I'll just spend the day inside, relaxing. We have only a week until my cousins come for Chirstmas...this should be interesting, as usually we spend Christmas with them and I don't know how they'll take to all this snow and country-side.

The Night Before Christmas is my favorite holiday story.

For this weeks poll question I'm asking what your favorite holiday story is. Mine is the classic The Night Before Christmas, but I really like Jan Brett books--such beautiful pictures!

Favorite Toys

Hello,

Sorry I haven't posted in some time. I've been busy with getting ready for school. But no one wants to hear about what I've been doing at school...well, at least, not yet.

Anyway, when I get some free time I've been playing with my favorite stuffed animal, Howie the Cow.

Isn't he a cutie?

I love Howie to death, but he's always seemed a little lonely, since he's my only stuffed animal. Sure, he might have Nicki's King the Lion, or Mia Rose's Ozzie the Osterich, but he's never been great friends with them.

Recently, however, I recieved a cute new stuffed toy from a dear friend.

Everyone, this is Moxie Boxie! She's a flapper box (well, you can't really tell she's a flapper now, b/c her large bow seems to have fallen off).

Howie thinks she makes a great new best friend.

Game Poll

Hi,

I forgot to tell everyone that I have a new poll up every few weeks. The current poll is about your favorite game on americangirl.com. My favorites are Smash the Dishes and The Mystery of the True Heart.

If you have a game that you really like that goes under 'Other' feel free to post it in the comments, I'd love to know!

A Whole New Me...Sorta

Hi again!

It's August! I can't believe how fast the summer is flying by. I sure glad I have almost a month until I'm back in school.
This summer my friends decided that I needed a little makeover, so guess what I got? A makeover. They picked out new outfits for me, found a hairstyle I like, and even gave me a little rosy glow (I'll admit, I was looking a little pale). So, without furthur ado, here are some of the looks we came up with.
1.The Fashion Forward Collar
This look is inspired by Molly and Emily. I borrowed the collar from Molly, and the shirt from Kit. They look great together with a regular jean skirt. I think this looks really good on me and I would wear this on cooler summer days.
2.The Anna Pavlova

Here's my outfit for dance class that I put together with the help of Mia Rose. I have a black leotard layered under a pink sweater (Kit's) and Mia's gray skirt. I think this is my favorite new outfit. It's comfortable and pretty, and so my style!

3. The Bomber Jacket

Here's the coolest jacket I've ever seen! I borowed this bomber jacket from Emily and Molly. The love wearing it during the fall, but it's a little warm for summer. I layered it over Kit's school shirt and a demin skirt of my own.

4. The Sweetheart

Here is my final look. I borrowed Emily's cherry blossom dress and headband to get this look. It's one of the sweetest looks I've worn...........

Hi Ho! Hi!

Hello,

It's great to be able to be blogging again! This time, people, I promise I will never ever ever leave off of my blog and stop posting...and eventually delete it.

For those of you who don't know me, my name is Poppy Ingram. I'm 12 years old living in Montana. My family moved here from Chicago about a year ago, and I'm still getting used to all the ropes of ranch life. My family has had a lot of help this past year from my aunt Peony, who (along with my mom) grew up on the same ranch that we now are living on. My mom left to become a writer in Chicago, and eventually married my dad, who's a lawyer. Peony went on to the nearest college and studied Equine Science--pretty cool, right?

So, our ranch is pretty good sized, and we can easily fit all the people in my family--My dad, my mom, Aunt Peony and my older sister Anita--but we can also house a lot of the great people who come and visit us, such as my cousin Cecy. I once told my mom that instead of just letting people stay with us, we should become a boarding house, just like Kit and her family have in the American Girl series.

Now, you've heard about my family, now it's time to hear more about me. Like I said before, I'm 12 years old, and I live on a ranch in Montana. My favorite color is red (be sure to vote for your favorite color in my poll!) and I love art. I also am really interested in history, and you can find some links to my favorite history site below. I also am an avid beader--something that drives my mom crazy! She hates to step on beads that I leave on the floor. Hey, I tell her, it's not my fault I spill them and can't find them all!

Well, that's it for now! See you soon!

Poppy
